Harry Halff has been dealing in fine art for over 30 years, initially as a private dealer in Europe, Scandinavia, and America. The San Antonio gallery was open from 1996 until 2013, and he now has returned to dealing privately.

A 5th generation Texan and graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, and Christie’s Fine Arts Course in London, Harry specializes in 19th century American paintings with an emphasis on Early Texas Art. The gallery published the Catalog Raisonne on Julian Onderdonk in fall of 2016 in conjunction with the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.

Authenticating Works by Julian Onderdonk

The first step in determining the value of art is determining its authenticity. Authenticating works requires a trained eye for detail and years of experience. Harry Halff is the Catalog Raisonne expert on Julian Onderdonk’s work, and is compiling additional works in an addendum to the Catalog Raisonne.
